Anycubic Kobra S1 Max: Large Format Enclosed FDM 3D Printer for Engineering Materials

The Anycubic Kobra S1 Max is a fully enclosed CoreXY FDM 3D printer with a generous 350 × 350 × 350 mm build volume. It is made for people who have outgrown a 250 mm bed: cosplay helmets, footwear, enclosures, large prototypes and full-size functional parts that would otherwise have to be split into pieces and glued together.

Size is only part of the story. A 350°C hotend with a hardened steel nozzle, a 120°C heated bed and a 65°C actively heated chamber let you work with engineering filaments such as ABS, ASA, PC and nylon, not just PLA. The printer arrives about 95% pre-assembled and uses automatic bed leveling, so you can go from unboxing to your first print quickly. If you are searching for the Anycubic Kobra S1 Max price in India, this is one of the most capable large format 3D printers you can buy locally from Voxelstudio.

Want multicolour printing out of the box? A Combo version with the ACE 2 Pro is also available at Voxelstudio: see the Anycubic Kobra S1 Max Combo.

Key Features of the Anycubic Kobra S1 Max

350 × 350 × 350 mm Large Build Volume

The print volume is about 174% larger than the Kobra S1 (250 × 250 × 250 mm). That extra room means big single-piece prints with no assembly: wearable props, shoe lasts, large jigs, housings and display models can come straight off the plate in one go.

Fully Enclosed CoreXY with 65°C Active Chamber Heating

The enclosed CoreXY frame keeps temperature stable and protects prints from drafts. Active chamber heating up to 65°C reduces warping and layer splitting on materials like ABS and ASA, which is what makes tall, large parts reliable instead of risky. Dual external circulation cooling fans help manage airflow so that PLA and other low-temperature materials still cool properly.

350°C Hotend, Hardened Steel Nozzle and 120°C Heated Bed

The quick-release hotend reaches 350°C and uses a titanium alloy throat tube as a thermal barrier. The extruder gears and the pre-installed 0.4 mm nozzle are hardened steel, so abrasive carbon-fibre filaments such as PLA-CF, PETG-CF, PA6-CF and PC-CF/GF are supported. A 0.6 mm hardened steel nozzle is included in the box, and 0.25 mm and 0.8 mm nozzles are available as options. The PEI spring steel build plate reaches up to 120°C.

Up to 600 mm/s Speed and 20,000 mm/s² Acceleration

Anycubic recommends 300 mm/s and 10,000 mm/s² for everyday printing, with maximum values of 600 mm/s and 20,000 mm/s². Short-distance extrusion and pressure advance / flow calibration help keep quality consistent at speed.

LeviQ 3.0 Auto-Leveling and Smart Print Protection

LeviQ 3.0 automatic bed leveling removes manual setup. The printer also supports power-loss resume, filament run-out detection with auto-resume, filament entanglement detection, object skip and area leveling. A built-in 720P camera and AI spaghetti detection watch the print and alert you if something goes wrong.

Optional Multicolour Printing with ACE 2 Pro

The Kobra S1 Max prints in a single colour out of the box. For multicolour work, the ACE 2 Pro filament system is sold separately: one unit gives four-colour printing, and combining four units reaches up to 16 colours. Note that the Kobra S1 Max does not support the first-generation ACE Pro used with the Kobra 3, Kobra S1 and Kobra 3 Max. Active filament drying is not built into the printer itself.

Quiet Operation

Noise is rated at 48 dB or lower in standard mode and as low as 45 dB in Quiet Print Mode. Anycubic measures about 55 dB with chamber heating enabled, which is still manageable in a workshop or office.

Easy Maintenance and Odour Control

An activated carbon filter helps reduce unpleasant odours, a temperature and humidity display shows real-time conditions, and the discharge chute on the left side makes waste collection simple. The quick-release hotend lets you swap nozzles without a long teardown.

Connected Ecosystem: Slicer Next, App and Wi-Fi 6

Control the printer from the 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen, Anycubic Slicer Next, the Anycubic App or a USB drive. Dual-band Wi-Fi 6, an Ethernet port and local network mode are supported, with remote viewing and time-lapse through the app.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the print size of the Anycubic Kobra S1 Max?

The build volume is 350 × 350 × 350 mm, which is about 174% larger than the Kobra S1.

Can the Kobra S1 Max print in multiple colours?

Yes, with the optional ACE 2 Pro, which is sold separately. One ACE 2 Pro gives four-colour printing, and four units reach up to 16 colours. Without it, the printer prints in a single colour at a time. If you want multicolour from day one, check the Combo version available at Voxelstudio.

Can it print ABS, ASA, nylon and carbon-fibre filaments?

Yes. With a 350°C hotend, hardened steel nozzle and extruder gears, 120°C bed and 65°C heated chamber, it supports ABS, ASA, PC, PA, PA6-CF, PC-CF/GF, PET-CF and the other filaments listed in the specifications.

Is the first-generation ACE Pro compatible with the Kobra S1 Max?

No. The Kobra S1 Max does not support the first-generation ACE Pro used with the Kobra 3, Kobra S1 and Kobra 3 Max. It works with the ACE 2 Pro.

Is it a good choice for beginners?

It is a large, premium printer, but setup is simple: it arrives about 95% pre-assembled, uses LeviQ 3.0 auto-leveling and preloaded slicer profiles, and includes camera monitoring and failure detection.
